Next up on the podcast

If you are a regular listener of Stories for the Future, you might've noticed things have been a bit quiet recently.

I've been running this podcast for almost 4 years now, and I've figured out that diving headfirst into a new season isn't always the best strategy. So, I'm taking a bit of a breather before I jump into the next season. This one is going to need quite a bit of thought and planning, and I want to make sure we kick it off properly.

We're going back to where it all started; when I said goodbye to the oil and gas business (or the "energy industry" as it's fancily called now) and set off on a new path. I started hanging out with a new crowd, got involved with different organizations and projects - all in some way related to sustainability and climate. It was like stepping out of one bubble and into another. It's funny how you can swap one group of people who echo your opinions for another group who does the same, just with a totally different set of views. Still and echo though…..

You know what's been bugging me? There's no real conversation happening between two vital spots for a green future: the energy gang, with a bunch still knee-deep in fossil fuel stuff, and the organizations tackling climate change and all things related to a greener future.

Being a part of both worlds, I'm in this unique—though a bit tricky—spot to play peace maker/bridge builder.

That's what I'm aiming for in the next podcast season: a hangout spot where we can chat openly, listen to each other, and find common ground between these two worlds.

I'll be having a chat with folks who've left the industry, those who went the opposite direction, people working on skills they can use elsewhere, and those who are trying to make a difference from the inside, among others.

If you've got thoughts or ideas on this that you're itching to share, please reach out!

I'm still hitting the record button, and the new season will kick off post-summer break. I want to take the time needed to do this justice.

Can’t wait to burst some bubbles!
